This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot
  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.
Keep pencil verical
Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

I love these! Any chance of a winter version?

Flat, roomy, comfortable with or without socks.
We're well into autumn now and I'm still wearing my Talus with insoles and woolly socks.
I'd love a winter version of these for when the weather gets colder.

Great shoes but runs big

the shoes are great quality and are comfortable. But they do run big. I am a size 11 normally and probably could have gotten away with a 10 or 10.5

Extremely Large

I’m a 10.5 shoe size. Ordered size 11 and they were huge. Paid postage to return shoe and get size 10. Still are so large and loose that my feet will twist out of them if I move the wrong way. Didn’t want to pay postage to return them again so I’m dealing with it.

Very comfortable but terrible durability

Shoes feel great, comfortable, and low to the ground. Unfortunately the stitches of my left shoe started to break. Seems like the more I use them the more they break. Purchased them about two months ago.

Outstanding thin and barefoot slip-on shoe

Depending on the Freet shoe, I am EU43 or EU44. I have medium to high volume, and these fit without being tight. The Talus 3 in EU43 Fits well, slightly "roomy" - not quite too large, but fits sligthly loose, specially around the ankle while the length is spot on (EU42 would have been too short, and EU44 too long).
