I bought my Pace back in 2022 and they are mostly a daily driver. They've been through rain, cycling, long walks and mild jogs. My expectations where a bit higher as they are starting to fall apart sooner than I would have liked as I aim for shoes that last me 4-5 years as 40-50 euros/year for a pair is steep for my budget.
As my first pair of barefoot style shoes, it's been a great experience and I don't see myself going back. I've become more conscious of my stride and what my joints should be doing. Also building toughness on my feet by feeling the terrain is quite a neat thing, although I've been surprised a few times of how different regular shoes handle gravel comparatively.
In terms of quality, here are my peeves. The soles are starting to tear from the lining as the glue has given way near the arch and the toes (high mobility areas). Which will end up being the primary reason that I'll end up replacing them. The lining around the toes stretched after the first year of use, making them less aesthetic although that's not their primary appeal, but that's to be expected from wear & tear.
I would recommend them for someone that won't put them through bad weather as the lining IS very breathable but also means wet socks and toes and eventually bad odor. Good for cycling, mild exercise and casual use on good weather.
I don't know what I could have done differently to extend their life. Comfort and value makes it 3 stars. Quality a -1.5 and -0.5 comfort due to lining stretch.
