The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot
  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Not convinced

My new Vibe2 shoes look good and are comfortable. But I bought them for running and I didn't have the support I needed in their first 5k and my lower calf was injured. Not convinced that I will use them for next month's 10km race.
But they're great for bowling in!

I like the v1 more

I like the v1 more. V1 is lighter and more flexibile, and comes with the ortholite sole which makes it good as a first time barefoot wearer.

The v2 feels like the upper and the sole weren't designed for each other, since it has creases in the fabric that did not happen on my 2 pairs of the v1.

Then the change in size, if a 44 v1 fit me well, the 44 v2 is now larger. I guess the v1 ran short so I can understand the change, but again, if you were a fan of the v1 then this means you need to figure out which size you are on.

Overall I would buy the v1 as long as it will be available, but the v2 is still a fine shoe.

Nice shoe, particularly for pounding unforgiving pavements.

I’ve been wearing barefoot shoes for around 10 years, often finding them to be too narrow, or too stiff, despite all their claims.
So, based on reviews I thought I’d give Vibe 2 a try. My observations so far are :-
The toe box is nice and broad, so no squashed toes or midfoot.
Comfortable straight out of the box, no rubs or blisters.
Slightly more of a cushioned feel than some other brands but still good feedback from various surfaces.
Nice and flexible.
I would say I’m a UK 4.5 in my left foot and 4 in my right, so I opted for a UK size 5 as reviews suggested sizing up. Pretty well perfect, just enough room for my left without swamping my right.
I would say this is a fairly deep shoe at the ankle an was concerned it may rub or restrict foot flexibility at the ankle and malleolus, but it hasn’t, though I do make sure to wear a sports sock with them.
I like the look of the shoe, went for black as I will use them for dog walking and light running.
The laces stay tight (for some reason my trousers undo most laces).
I love the lacing system and the way it keeps my feet secured, but the down side is that they are a bit of a faff to put on (I must remember to get a shoe horn).
My foot shape is sloped toes, medium to slightly broad in width, with a high instep and narrow heel.
This shoe is great for the purpose I bought it for and I expect to buy from Freet again.
