This shoe fits true to size

The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

The lengths shown are the Insole lengths (the actual shoe length will be 2 or 3 mm longer).

Measuring Your Foot
  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.

Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

Actually waterproof!

So, ive been sold so many 'waterproof' shoes that soak my feet as soon as im walking through wet grass, but these! These are the first shoes ive come across that are actually waterproof! Wow! Incredible! Perfect for in the snow, puddles, wet grass. 4 stars though, because they are not comfortable. Hopefully they are just stiff and will grow into my foot, but the discomfort is worth staying dry.

Really comfy, if at first they looked a little odd.

At first glance they looked a little odd, not as they had appeared online; however, once I gave them a try I was hooked! They are so comfy and actually don’t look as clumsy as I had expected. Fabulous.

They look good and are very comfortable

They look good and are very comfortable - no need to break them in.
I have "spade" shaped feet (wide at the toes and narrow around the arch) with bunions, but the boots are wide and flexible enough to fit round the wide part and can be drawn in with the laces around the narrow part.
The soles grip well, and are thick enough to provide comfort on stony ground while still providing good ground feel.
