These shoes are great! They have a wide toe box and actually fit my feet! I have been having a hard time finding bare foot shoes that fit me due to my really large feet! Roughly 5 inches wide. These shoes very comfortably. The soles are zero drop and have a good ground feel. The soles are just thick enough to where stepping on rocks are not uncomfortable. I have worn them for a day and will say the shoes arrive a bit stiff but will soften up as you wear them.
My only complaint is that I would not really recommend them driving (especially if you drive manual) as the back of the shoe is at an awkward height to wear it causes really bad irritation on the bursitis. IMO it kind of defeats to purpose of having an everyday shoe but can't be used for all cases.
I have wide feet and these shoes are fitting great, even wearing normal socks, i am still feeling comfortable. I use them to go to work, so i sped full day wearing them and still in the evening, i do not suffer.
One thing that surprised me, in the rain i had wet fingers, it seems they are letting water through. I added protective spray and will see if that helps.
I have worn a pair of Freet Urban 2 (pictured beside the Citee in my image) almost daily since 2020, and sadly the sole has just started to let water in around the edges. I took the plunge and got a new pair of Citees on sale and couldn't be happier - just like the Urbans, they fit my wide-toed, high-ridged duckfeet like a glove! They are incredibly lightweight, flexible, keep moisture out and are supremely comfortable. If anything, the new design looks even better than the Urban (more like a conventional shoe, but still just as comfy). I may well buy a second pair to rotate through the winter as these will definitely be my new go-to shoe for the wetter, colder months (i.e. most of the year in the UK, haha). Thanks Freet for making the absolute best vegan-friendly minimalist footwear - I've tried a LOT of brands and yours really stand out!
I'm 70. This is my 3rd barefoot shoe that I've now had for over a year. My first 2 pair were from other more well known barefoot companies that didn't wear as well. My freet's are my go to shoe. I just ordered another. the first is in impressively good shape despite lots of wear, but I'm trying the York 2 slightly dressier model (the (still good for outdoors). I researched and researched to find a barefoot shoe that looked good enough for my office and functional for outdoor. I wanted one that was a reasonable balance of price, looks and function. I read the descriptions and ratings of at least 20 barefoot companies (many were good). I settled on Citee - knowing I could return it if needed. I ended up needing to try 2 sizes. They were great at communicating and customer service (very important) and helping me with advice, getting the right size and flawless returns. Now that I am know how good it is, i plan to order a 3rd Freet and get rid of the rest of my "regular" shoes, including my super ergonomic German Finn Comforts and Birkenstocks that I realize - aren't as ergonomic as barefoot.
The Citee was a dream come true for me. I'm a committed barefoot shoe wearer, but had trouble finding a casual/dressy shoe that was *vegan*. As luck would have it Freet, my favorite shoe company, came through. A good looking barefoot dress shoe that I can wear all day. What more can you ask for. This shoe is as comfortable as all the other Freet shoes I have bought. I purchased my usual size, 43, and it fits perfect. Well done Freet!
