The best guide for sizing your new Freet shoes is to start with your usual shoe size. Think about whether you always take this size or whether you sometimes need to go smaller or larger.

Customer feedback is that this style fits true to size; so order your normal size.

Our shoes are originally produced in EU sizes. All US sizes are the closest conversion so, if you know your EU size, you may want to consider using this.

Measuring Your Foot

Sometimes as a second check it is worth measuring your foot. Feet can be different sizes so its worth measuring both and taking the largest.

Standing next to a wall place a piece of paper against the wall. Place your foot on the paper with your heel just touching the wall.

  • The next stage is easier if you get someone else to help do it.
  • Take a pencil or pen and trace the outline of the foot on the paper.
  • Start at the heel.
  • Keep the pen at 90 degrees to the paper, so vertical, see diagram.
  • Don't draw under the foot.
Keep pencil verical
Taking a ruler measure the length of the outline in millimetres. This will be the exact size of the insole you will need. To ensure the fit is not tight add another 5.0 - 10.0 mm to the length. If you wear thick socks then add that thickness to the length.

Measuring your outline

If possible, please work from the EU sizes (the US and UK sizes are nearest conversions to these sizes so will not be as accurate). The lengths and widths are the dimensions of the insole in mm measured as per the picture below:

presque parfaite

Très contente de ces baskets légères, souples et confortables.
Petits bémols, les jolis lacets beaucoup trop longs
et surtout la semelle intérieure en matériel recyclé qui sent très mauvais après les avoir portées seulement quelques jours !
J'ai ajouté une semelle en feutre pour éviter de devoir laver très souvent celle de base

Love these shoes

I bought my first barefoot shoes from Freet 1 1/2 years ago - the Impala boot, and found it so well-fitting, comfortable, and enjoyable to wear, that I told myself the next time I needed a pair of shoes, I would look what Freet had to offer. My walking shoes just wore out and so I ordered the Flex and have worn them almost every day since I got them. Time will tell on their durability, but I find them very comfortable and well-shaped for my feet. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the laces have to be a bit more cinched up to feel secure on my foot than the shoe appears to be designed for (the bottom-most lace kinda puckers up the shoe on either side), but the cinched appearance doesn't bother me. I appreciated the two pairs of laces to pick from - I switched out for the lighter blue and think they look pretty cool!

So far I absolutely love them

So far I absolutely love them. They're perfect for my needs (martial arts, gym and general moving around)

A bit long, but otherwise phenomenal

I got EU 46 and they're a bit too long for my foot, despite being the perfect width, so keep that in mind when choosing your size. I love everything about them otherwise. They're light, exceptionally comfortable, and everything I want in a barefoot shoe. Would gladly purchase again.

Almost perfect with disappointment

This is probably the most confortable shoe I aver run with. It is wide enough in mid foot and forefoot. Very flexible. The adjustment is great even if I found the laces to be much too long. My disappointment comes from the lining which is not durable and that is frustrating. It wears out where my big toe hit in the upper. I sue it only for running 4 times a week. I cannot make an entire year with 1 pair because of this. The rest of the shoe looks like new even the outsole. Only for this, I don't purchase this model anymore :( It is already expensive to order from Canada.
