Our most rugged outsole, MountainGrip is engineered for serious off-road adventures. The lugs are more spaced out compared to other outsoles to allow mud and water to drain effectively. So, whether you’re scrambling up steeper, rough terrain or hiking through mud, MountainGrip will keep you grounded.
Why it was designed:
MountainGrip was created for those who hike or run in wilder environments - often rough, steeper and muddier terrain, on or off track. These adventurers needed a longer, strong lug with space around it to shed debris, combined with the durability of stitching. The precise lug shape and size have been obsessively tested to optimise grip and strength in extreme conditions.
🌄 HillGrip
HillGrip features deep lugs and an aggressive tread pattern that stand up to every occasion. This outsole makes for a hybrid shoe that will quickly become your go-to for longer distances across mixed terrain. From town to trail, HillGrip has you covered, providing lots of grip in all weather across tracks, trails and urban surfaces even if conditions turn slippy or steep. Perfect for days when your adventure has no fixed route.
Why it was designed:
HillGrip came from a need to develop an outsole for customers who wanted to hike or run on trails of varying difficulty and steepness, but might want to start from home on asphalt. So the challenge was to engineer an outsole that grips confidently on wet or muddy tracks but remains comfortable and durable on asphalt. Inspired by the claw shapes of strong animals, its design combines deeper lugs for soft terrain with enough rubber surface for smooth urban travel. The result? One outsole that does it all.

TrailGrip offers the best of both worlds - robust enough for good quality trail use but smooth enough for town. Inspired by days walking through the Cornish and Yorkshire countrysides - it’s great for places where you need that bit of extra grip; pebbley beaches, rocky paths and trails, muddy meadows and uneven climbs. Its 3mm tread gives excellent all-round performance, making it ideal for varied conditions, from countryside rambles to everyday errands.

Designed for versatility, MultiGrip’s smaller 2mm lugs provide a stable platform and reasonable grip for pavement pounding, gym sessions, and easier trail walks. The outsole balances grip and wear resistance - so it lasts, no matter your routine.
🌆 UrbanGrip
UrbanGrip features a broad 3mm tread designed for maximum surface contact on urban terrain. Its rubber compound grips reliably on dry or wet pavements and holds up well to the daily grind of city life. It consists of an extra millimeter of rubber compared to MultiGrip for added durability.
