We are delighted to share an in depth review of one of our new products, Freet Swale. Josh Greeson, from California, puts the Swale to the test in warm weather, hiking up steep trails.

The Freet Swale is our most minimal bootee, made from a single unlined piece of BottleYarn flyknit material. A simple design with excellent breathability and durability to take you far on your adventures both urban and in nature; arduous and more relaxed!

Some of Josh’s highlights from reviewing the Swale include:
  • Thin, flexible soles that still felt great on rocky trails – even at 4mm without the insoles in.
  • The new TrailGrip soles are super grippy, even on loose, gravelly trails.
  • Fantastically lightweight.. While hiking, I don’t normally think “The shoes I’m wearing are amazingly lightweight!” – but I literally said those words out loud while hiking in the Swale.
  • They are extremely breathable. I live in southern California, and it gets hot here, hiking or not. My feet feel cool and comfortable in the Swale.
